Course Description: EMTs provide out of hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life threatening emergencies. Emergency Medical Technicians function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system, under medical oversight. Emergency Medical Technicians perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found in an ambulance. Emergency Medical Technicians are a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.

This course is both challenging as well as rewarding. Weekly exams are administered to test your knowledge and prepare you to challenge the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician exam upon successful course completion and graduation. Additional study sessions are offered to help you grasp and retain complicated content. The classroom experience is not your average class. You and your classmates are on a journey to learn and make a difference with the patients we treat and transport. Our team of experienced and supportive instructors, EMTs, paramedics and critical care paramedics will help you obtain your goals. Our Team will show you what it means to be an EMT. This course will make you confident in handling any medical situation while on shift or even at a family gathering. Becoming an EMT is a requirement for advancing to the Paramedic level.
